Participants in this long weekend intensive retreat will write and relax at the Lazy Pond Bed & Breakfast in Liberty, New York, located about two hours north of New York City, in Sullivan County.
Sprawling across 12 acres, the Lazy Pond boasts personally groomed gardens, a pond, and a gazebo. Luxuriate in a fresh, complimentary breakfast each morning, as well as a queen bed and private bath, all while receiving expert instruction and the solitude necessary to think and write.
From NYC
Route 17 west – take exit 100 – make left off ramp -left at traffic light-continue straight through two roundabouts and then straight into town of Liberty. Make a left onto Chestnut street and follow until you pass golf course on right, make a right onto Old Loomis Road just before Gas Station 52. Lazy Pond is about half mile on left.
From Binghamton
From Binghamton- take 17 east to exit 99 – right off ramp – left at stop sign – right onto Buckley St – left at high school onto Yaun Ave – right at stop sign and follow to 52 Gas Station – make right onto Old Loomis Rd and look for Lazy Pond on the left.
From Pennsylvania
Route 42 north towards Monticello. Turn left onto West Broadway, at light take right onto Route 17B, go through two traffic lights and follow signs onto Route 17 west. Take exit 100 – make left off ramp -left at traffic light-continue straight through two roundabouts and then straight into town of Liberty. Make a left onto Chestnut street and follow until you pass golf course on right, make a right onto Old Loomis Road just before Gas Station 52. Lazy Pond is about half mile on left.

PLEASE NOTE: Your workshop sessions will be located at the home/studio of Helena Clare Pittman. If you don’t have a car, she’ll pick you up at the Inn and bring you to and from her studio just a few miles from the Inn.
