Asha L. French, Ph.D., is a creative writer from Louisville, KY, who publishes across genres. She has published poems and essays in Pluck!, Warpland, Blackbone: 25 Years of the Affrilachian Poets, Emory Magazine, Ebony, and the New York Times. Asha currently lives in Rhode Island, where she is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University.
I believe writers at every level have the power to make and remake themselves with the stories they tell. I teach rituals of self-creation and revision toward healing through writing. Playing with language brings me joy, and I teach to share that joy with others.
