The Writer’s Guest Suite at Imago House
Individual Retreats for Writers
Give yourself the solitude you need to do your best work with an individual retreat for writers.
There’s a wonderful aura here that frees the spirit while enhancing the creative process. Thank you so much for this gift. – D. McCraw
The Writer’s Guest Suite at Imago House — 90 minutes south of Washington, D.C. — is your literary home-away-from home. You’ll enjoy a private bedroom with a queen bed, private bath and private study with WiFi and a waterfront view.
In winter, savor the comfort of a wood-burning fireplace and glassed-in sun porch. Watch bald eagles fly overhead and write your heart out. In warmer weather, fling the doors open to the soothing sounds of rippling water and rustling oaks.
What better place to listen to the stirrings of your own imagination, to renew your creative wellsprings — and focus on that writing project you’ve had to put off for so long.
Meals are provided – no need to interrupt your concentration for chores.
When you need a break, you can take long walks on quiet, country roads, rest on the pier or beach, or enjoy the many tourist attractions in our slice of Chesapeake Bay Country.
A beautiful experience in all ways — time out from the quotidian, yet so much accomplished. I’m grateful for this sacred space. – J. Braun
