At the Elizabeth Ayres Center for Creative Writing, we believe that writers play a vital role in our society as it struggles to evolve. For 18 years now, we have been committed to establishing the conditions necessary for the creative spirit to flourish, nurturing writing instruction and a supportive writing community.

We NEVER share our mailing list. We rarely send more than two broadcasts a month. You can request to be removed from the list whenever you wish.

All Center announcements are sent by e-mail, but it is helpful for us to have your surface address and phone. We will NEVER call you unless you ask us to.

In addition to the online writing workshop Writing the Wave and the writing retreats mentioned on this site, we sometimes offer other kinds of online writing classes, or in-person writing courses in New York City and in Connecticut. You'll always be up-to-date on Center offerings – and you'll receive new essays by Elizabeth Ayres monthly – if you provide us with the following contact information.
